How to incorporate psyllium husks into your daily routine
- Gluten-free baking: 1-2 tbsp per loaf of bread dough as a natural binding agent — ideal for gluten-free or ketogenic bread
- Stir into water: 1 tsp in a large glass of water, stir well, drink immediately — then drink a second glass of water
- In smoothies: 1 tsp for a thicker consistency
- In vegan baking: as an egg substitute (1 tbsp psyllium husks + 3 tbsp water, allow to swell)
Important for Use
Psyllium husks should always be consumed with plenty of liquid (at least 200ml per teaspoon). Sufficient water intake throughout the day is a prerequisite for proper use.

What does "99% purity" mean for psyllium husks?
99% purity is a quality standard — meaning a maximum of 1% foreign matter such as husks or seed shell residues. This makes our psyllium husks a premium quality product. For comparison: standard products often have 95–98% purity. Higher purity also means a higher swelling capacity per tablespoon.
Where do the psyllium husks come from?
Our organic psyllium husks (Plantago ovata, also called psyllium) come from certified organic cultivation in India — the region that meets almost the entire worldwide demand. Packaging takes place in Germany under HACCP standards.
Are the psyllium husks gluten-free?
Psyllium husks themselves naturally contain no gluten. However, we cannot completely rule out traces during the processing. For strict gluten intolerance (celiac disease), we recommend checking the package information individually.
How long do psyllium husks last?
At least 24 months when stored correctly. You can find the exact best-before date (BBD) on the packaging.
Is the packaging resealable?
Yes, resealable stand-up pouch with a zip closure. This keeps the contents fresh longer after opening.
How should I store psyllium husks?
Dry, cool, and protected from light — ideally directly in the original bag or transferred to an airtight container. Since psyllium husks are highly absorbent, it is important that no water or moisture gets into the package.
How are psyllium husks used?
The usual application: 1–2 tsp of psyllium husks in a large glass of water (at least 250ml), stir well and drink quickly. Then drink a second glass of water. Alternatively, you can use them in yogurt, smoothies, when baking (e.g., as an egg substitute: 1 tbsp + 3 tbsp water, allow to swell) or in gluten-free bread. When consuming, it is important to drink enough water throughout the day.

Una cucharada sopera colmada en un vaso de agua y otro vaso de agua más y al día siguiente lo quieras o no seguro que vas al inodoro. Al momento de tomarlo aparece la textura como de gelatina y se traga muy bien. Solo puedo hablar muy bien de la cáscara de psyllium. Es un producto totalmente natural.

Acquistato in sostituzione allo psillo che si vende in farmacia, in parte per la convenienza ma anche per evitare di assumere coloranti ed aromi artificiali contenuti in tutte le marche che ho provato. Si può trovare anche in erboristeria (non proprio in tutte), ma nella mia zona è diffusa la polvere di psillo molto fine, simile alla farina, che si scioglie difficilmente e tende a fare grumi.Questo prodotto invece contiene bucce di spillo intere che si sciolgono senza difficoltà, l'efficacia è identica ai prodotti dello stesso genere acquistabili in farmacia. Lo consiglio vivamente a chi ne fa un uso abituale.
