Where do our organic chia seeds come from?
Our organic chia seeds are grown in Paraguay — a region with ideal climatic conditions for Salvia hispanica. We work directly with certified organic farming families and ensure fair producer prices. Packaging takes place in Germany under HACCP standards.
Are the chia seeds EU organic certified?
Yes. Our organic chia seeds bear the EU organic label and come from controlled organic farming. They are also kosher certified and processed in a Sedex and HACCP audited facility.
How long do chia seeds last?
When stored correctly — cool, dry, and protected from light — our chia seeds have a shelf life of at least 24 months. You can find the exact best-before date (MHD) on the back of the packaging.
Is the packaging resealable?
Yes. The 1kg pack comes in a resealable stand-up pouch with a zip closure — so the contents stay fresh after opening. You can reuse the bag directly or transfer the contents into an airtight storage container.
How should I store chia seeds?
Cool, dry, and protected from direct sunlight — the stand-up pouch itself is well suited for this. After opening, press the zip closure tightly or transfer the contents into an airtight container.
How much chia seeds can I use daily?
A typical daily portion is around 15g (approx. one heaped tablespoon). Please refer to the packaging for specific consumption recommendations. Important: Chia seeds absorb a lot of liquid — please always consume with sufficient water or plant-based drink.
What is the best way to use chia seeds?
Very versatile: as chia pudding with plant-based drink (let soak overnight in the refrigerator), in smoothies, in muesli, in baked goods or as an egg substitute in baking (1 tbsp chia + 3 tbsp water, soak for 10 minutes = 1 egg). You can find more application ideas in our recipe blog.

We ship on weekdays on the same day for orders placed by 2 PM. Within Germany, delivery time is usually 1–3 business days. Shipping is free.
