Where do the chia seeds come from?
Our chia seeds are grown in Paraguay — a region with ideal climatic conditions for Salvia hispanica. We work directly with our growing partners and ensure fair producer prices. Packaging is done in Germany under HACCP standards.
What is the difference from the organic variant?
These chia seeds come from conventional farming, the same plant and the same region as our organic variant. They are more affordable but undergo the same quality controls and are kosher certified. If the EU organic label is relevant for your business, please inquire about an organic bulk pack.
How long do chia seeds last?
When stored correctly — cool, dry, and protected from light — our chia seeds have a shelf life of at least 24 months. The exact best-before date can be found on the packaging. For bulk consumers, we recommend checking the best-before date when purchasing to ensure the full consumption period.
Is the packaging resealable?
Yes. The 5kg pack has a zip closure. For bulk consumption, we recommend transferring the contents into an airtight storage container to ensure freshness and hygiene throughout the entire period of use.
How should I store chia seeds?
Cool, dry, and protected from direct sunlight. For longer storage in larger quantities, an airtight storage container is recommended — this also protects against pest infestation and moisture.
How do I use chia seeds in larger quantities?
In baked goods, typically 2-3% of the flour weight. For chia pudding assortments: 15g chia per 200ml plant-based drink, soak overnight in the refrigerator. For muesli mixes: 5-10% chia content. If needed, we can develop individual recipes with you.
When will I receive my order?
We ship orders placed by 2 PM on weekdays on the same day. Within Germany, delivery usually takes 1-3 business days. Shipping is free. For regular business orders, we can arrange fixed delivery schedules.
